Description
I came up with this as a clear water carp fly as I watched carp cruise a fly one day and just swim right by my buggers, or general carp flies. I was convinced that they just didn’t see the fly or what ever it was they just didn’t have any interest. A lot of time the olive or brown fly would settle down into the mud or bottom and I think just get lost. I need a fly that would sit and wiggle and flutter and stand on its head – hopefully getting their attention. I cast this fly out a lot of times and just let it sit hoping I picked the right path of a cruising carp and most times they will at least come check it out, which in carp fishing clear water is a victory for me.
